Submission & Advertising Requirements & Schedule

Blackstone Conservation Commission Submission & Advertisement Requirements 

With respect to submissions, made in person or by mail, of applications for Notices of Intent, Abbreviated Notices of Resource Area Delineation, or Requests for Determination of Applicability the following shall apply:

  • All completed submissions must be received in the Conservation Office no later than 2:00 PM by the application deadline specified on the Blackstone Conservation Commission Filing Deadlines Schedule, generally 10 business days before the next scheduled meeting of the Commission. (see below for schedule)
  • It is the applicant's responsibility to post the legal advertisement as well as to notify abutters within 100 feet of applicant’s property line using certified mail. All legal advertisements must be published at least (5) business days prior to the public hearing or meeting, not counting the day of the meeting. Advertisements are generally published in The Valley Breeze or The Call. 

With respect to revised plans or additional information, all submissions must be received at least business days prior to the next scheduled meeting of the Commission.

Public notice is hereby given that the Blackstone Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on [insert date and time] at the Blackstone Municipal Center, 15 St. Paul Street Blackstone, MA 01504, for a [insert submission type and brief description of project] in accordance with the provisions of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, (M.G.L. c. 131, s. 40).

A copy of the submittal is on file at the Conservation Commission office at the Blackstone Municipal Center and may be reviewed in person during Town Hall Hours or by emailing mcorriveault@townofblackstone.org and/or beldridge@townofblackstone.org. Interested persons may appear at the public meeting to be heard.
