November 3, 2020 Presidential Election Information

Voting By Mail

Due to recent social distance mandates and concerns of reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we are encouraging registered voters to take advantage of the option to "vote by mail" with either an Absentee or Early Voting Ballot for November 3, 2020 Presidential Election. Outlined below are the mail-in options Ballot Voters have for casting their ballots for the 2020 election year.

Please note that completed ballots can be returned to the Town Hall at the Drop Box located at the front entrance of the Town Hall.

Request your Absentee or Early Ballot

By Mail to: Blackstone Town Clerk, 15 Street Paul Street, Blackstone, MA 01504. Mail requests should include: voter name, Blackstone street address, phone number, mailing address, signature of voter and whether you would like an Absentee Ballot or an Early Voted Ballot. The deadline to apply for a Vote by Mail or Absentee Ballot is 5 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

By emailing an official Absentee Ballot Application or an Early Voted Ballot Application to Email Absentee Ballot Application.

Returning Your Ballot: Ballots can either be dropped off utilizing the drop box at the top of steps to the front entrance of Town Hall, or mailed back in the included return envelope. If you are returning your ballot through the mail, please take into account possible mail delays and leave ample time for your ballot to reach the Town Clerk's Office. Balots must be dropped off in the Dropbox by 8 pm on Election Day. Note: ballots being returned by mail must be postmarked by November 3rd, and received by 5 pm on November 6th.

Special Note on Vote By Mail Post Card Applications

On September 15th, 2020, Massachusetts State mailed out "Vote By Mail" postcards to all registered voters who do not currently have an Absentee Ballot request on file. Voting by mail is an optional resource for those who are unable to make it to the polls on election day, or do not feel comfortable doing so during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The polls will still be open on election day during regular hours (7 am to 8 pm) for anyone who would prefer to vote in person. Early Voting in Person will also be available between October 17-October 30. If you would like to vote by mail, please fill out all required information on the application and return it to the Town Clerk's office. These postcards can either be mailed back to our office at 15 Street Paul Street, Blackstone, MA 01504, scanned and emailed to Email Absentee Ballot Application or dropped off in the drop box at the top of steps to the front entrance of Town Hall. A sample of the postcard is below. Please call our office at 508-883-1500, ext. 146 with any questions.
