THE BLACKSTONE FIRE DEPARTMENT USES THE SMART911 SYSTEM TO ASSIST EMS AND FIRE PERSONNEL WITH THEIR EVERYDAY EMERGENCIES. RESIDENTS ARE ABLE TO SIGN UP AND PROVIDE INFORMATION THAT COULD BE USED IN FUTURE EMERGENCIES, SUCH AS FOR A MISSING CHILD OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT PARAMEDICS WOULD NEED TO KNOW IN CARING FOR A SEVERELY SICK PATIENT. FOR MORE INFORMATION, CLICK ON THE IMAGE ABOVE.

Summer weather is here! Remember to practice safety around pools, lakes and other bodies of water . Keep an eye on children at all times near water, even taking an eye away from a child near water for a minute can be disastrous. Children should wear life jackets or Personal  Floatation Devices( PFD's)  in or near open water. Always stay close by the child, within reaching distance. Have children that cannot swim take swim lessons. Never let kids swim alone. Keep a phone close by in case of an emergency.
