THE BLACKSTONE FIRE DEPARTMENT USES THE SMART911 SYSTEM TO ASSIST EMS AND FIRE PERSONNEL WITH THEIR EVERYDAY EMERGENCIES. RESIDENTS ARE ABLE TO SIGN UP AND PROVIDE INFORMATION THAT COULD BE USED IN FUTURE EMERGENCIES, SUCH AS FOR A MISSING CHILD OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT PARAMEDICS WOULD NEED TO KNOW IN CARING FOR A SEVERELY SICK PATIENT. National Poison Prevention Week is March 18-24, 2017. This annual awareness event is nationally designated to highlight the dangers of poisonings and how to prevent them. If you ever have to call 9-1-1 in the event of a poisoning, your Smart911 Safety Profile can relay important information to 9-1-1 call takers and first responders.
