The licensing period cannot extend beyond the year the rabies vaccination expires. There is a slight discount for dogs that have been altered. Proof of rabies and spaying/neutering must be presented at the time of licensing.
Dog licenses are available in the Town Clerk’s Office Mon.-Thurs. 8:30AM-4:30PM, Fri. 8:30AM-12:00PM and Tues. Evenings 5:30-7:30PM. Please note that town hall hours will be modified during the holidays.
The Animal Control Officer may impose a fine of $25.00 for an unlicensed dog and an additional fine of $50.00 if the dog does not have a current rabies vaccination.
