On Saturday, October 26th, Blackstone Parks and Recreation will be building raised garden beds for the Senior Center, and they are seeking volunteers to help make this project a success. Thanks to a generous AARP Massachusetts Grant, this initiative will provide a wonderful new resource for the town's seniors.
Volunteers will also have the chance to contribute to the Community Art Project by painting pickets to be displayed in the garden. Those with expertise in garden bed construction or similar projects are especially encouraged to join.
The event begins at 10:30 AM and will continue until the work is finished. Blackstone Parks and Recreation will provide water, soda, and lunch for all participants. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community and be part of a meaningful project!
