Public Works crews are investigating and repairing a water main break on Lakeview Street.
Residents in the Lakeview Street area may experience temporary water discoloration, reduced water pressure, or service interruptions while the leak is investigated and repairs are made.
The water remains safe to drink, despite any discoloration. If your water appears discolored, please run the cold-water tap until it clears. Discoloration is temporary. Residents are advised to check their water before use, particularly prior to doing laundry. Do not use bleach on stained clothing, as it will permanently set the stain. If rust staining occurs, an iron-removing detergent is available free of charge at the DPW office on Elm Street or at Public Safety Dispatch, 15 Saint Paul Street.
