The Blackstone Fire Department will hold a solemn remembrance ceremony on Thursday, September 11, 2025, to honor the lives lost and the heroes remembered on September 11, 2001. Community members, town officials, and neighboring fire departments are invited to gather in reflection and unity.
The event will take place at Blackstone Fire Department Station 1 at the 9/11 Memorial, with the ceremony beginning promptly at 9:50 a.m. The program will include formal tributes such as the sounding of the five bells, lowering and raising of the American flag, prayers led by Fire Chaplain Cunningham, and musical performances of the “Star-Spangled Banner,” Taps, and Amazing Grace.
All residents, employees, and officials are encouraged to attend as Blackstone joins communities nationwide in remembrance.
