Blackstone Parks & Recreation is excited to announce a lineup of community events happening this September, offering residents opportunities to connect, celebrate, and enjoy the fall season.


Third Annual Town-Wide Yard Sale

The Town-Wide Yard Sale will take place on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2025 (rain date: Sunday, September 28) from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. across Blackstone.

Sellers can choose to host a one-day or two-day sale at their homes, or participate at Roosevelt Park on a one-day basis. Roosevelt Park is available for non-profits, families, organizations, and sports groups who need space. A waiver will be required for Roosevelt Park participants.

The registration deadline is September 18, 2025.

In partnership with the Friends of the Blackstone Public Library, the first day of the yard sale will also include a community collection drive for:

  • Clothes & Textiles

  • Shoes

  • Books

  • Non-Perishable Food & Toiletries

Residents are encouraged to declutter, donate, and support this town-wide event.

Annual Fall Festival

The community is invited to the Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the BMR High School Grounds.

This festive day, hosted by Blackstone Parks & Recreation in partnership with the Blackstone Lions, will feature:

  • Food served by the Blackstone Millville Youth Athletic Association

  • A full day of BMR sporting events

  • Free games and pumpkin decorating

  • Lots of vendor booths

  • And more!

Live music lineup includes:

  • 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Blackstone Valley Community Concert Band

  • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: The Strumdawgs

This family-friendly event promises entertainment, local food, and activities for all ages.
