Emergency Water Main Repair – Lakeview Street
Today, Thursday, April 24, the Department of Public Works is conducting emergency repairs to the water main on Lakeview Street.
Water Service Impact:
Residents in the affected area are experiencing a temporary loss of water. DPW crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to complete the repairs and restore service.
Water Discoloration Advisory:
Turning off the main may disturb sediment in the pipes, causing temporary discoloration. If this occurs, run the cold-water tap until it clears. Please check water quality before use, especially before doing laundry.
If rust stains appear on laundry or fixtures, iron-removing detergent is available free of charge at the DPW office on Elm Street. Do not use bleach, as it will permanently set the stain.
