Notice of Water Main Repairs
Date: Wednesday, January 15th
Location: Rathbun Street at the intersection of Montcalm Avenue
Our contractor will be performing essential repairs to the water main on Rathbun Street. To accommodate this work, the road will be reduced to one lane for the duration of the project. We recommend residents seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
Service Impact:
Residents in the affected area may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of water service during the project. Work is scheduled to begin at 8:30 AM and is expected to be completed by 2:00 PM. We are committed to completing this work as quickly as possible to minimize disruptions.
Important Information:
- Turning off the water main may stir up sediment in the pipes, potentially causing temporary water discoloration.
- If your water appears discolored, run your cold-water tap until it clears. This discoloration is harmless and does not compromise water safety.
- Residents should check their water before use, especially before doing laundry. If rust stains occur on clothing or fixtures, iron-removing detergent is available free of charge at the DPW office on Elm Street.
- Please do not use bleach on stained clothing, as this will set the stain permanently.
