The Town of Blackstone’s Community Choice Power Supply Program is already delivering measurable results for residents and businesses. In its first three months of operation, the program produced more than $57,000 in residential savings, with overall community savings residential, commercial, and industrial customers combined—reaching nearly $59,000.

April 2025: $15,670 in residential savings; $16,167 in total community savings
May 2025: $15,134 in residential savings; $15,480 in total community savings
June 2025: $26,711 in residential savings; $27,122 in total community savings

These savings are calculated by comparing the Town’s aggregation supply rate to National Grid’s Basic Service rate for the same billing periods.
The aggregation program, supplied by First Point Power, began in April 2025 and will run through October 2026. The program offers a standard product that meets Massachusetts renewable requirements, along with an optional green product that goes beyond state requirements with additional renewable energy content.
The Town will continue to publish quarterly updates so residents can follow the program’s performance and track savings over time.
