An important update from the Blackstone Water Department:
Due to ongoing dry conditions and very little rain in the forecast, the Town of Blackstone is updating its mandatory water use restrictions effective August 15, 2025.
Ban on Non-Essential Outdoor Water Use
No lawn sprinklers or automatic irrigation systems at any time.
No non-essential outdoor water use, including:
Irrigating lawns or landscaping with sprinklers or automatic systems
Washing vehicles, driveways, decks, or building exteriors

Why This Matters
The Blackstone Water Department monitors water use and tank levels daily. Restrictions are necessary to:
Maintain water pressure in homes
Ensure adequate water for firefighting
Respond to state drought orders
Enforcement
These restrictions are mandatory and violations are subject to fines.
